The goal of the quest, the destination that drives the journey. Why do so many abandon their hopes, walk from the theater where they have waged battle for fame, personal or otherwise? Oh, to experience the jubilation when success rises from the struggles. To feel the joy as one reaps the rewards. A human tragedy when abandonment mars the souls who watch from the edges as the few celebrate.

But what matters most, the destination or the journey? To be in the battle, wage the war; isn't that enough? To be true to yourself, fully embrace the purpose that fuels the fire that burns deep. With bloodied lips and soiled clothes, light radiates when the unenlightened throw you a rope, quickly casted aside. You are a warrior. You embrace the struggle for it is the struggle that defines your purpose. It is the blood that pulsates through your body.

I fear the destination. Can it be a mirage? To reach, to embrace, only to vanish. Is this a fool's errand, a trick to compel me forward? I think not. I am on a journey, which has no end other than death itself. It is who I am, my integrity. It is the celebrations earned for every step I take. I embrace the battle. I am a warrior.
